TRAINING COURSE (MT)
LEVEL I and II
Magnetic (MT) non-destructive testing (NDT) method, based on the attraction of magnetic particles by magnetic scattering fields that occur above defects in magnetized objects (ferromagnetic metals). Objects of control tested in visible or ultraviolet spectrum using both the simplest (permanent magnets) and high-end equipment.
Advantages of this method:
- relatively simple technology (relative to Ultrasonic testing UT);
- examination of the surface layer of parts of different shapes of ferromagnetic materials;
- high reliability with express testing;
- high sensitivity to even the smallest surface and subsurface defects, compare to Visual control (VT). Especially if a fluorescent method is used;
- manual magnetic control does not require expensive equipment and materials;
- performance and reliability of results.
TUV NORD Baltik invites anyone wishing to undergo Magnetic testing (MT) and qualify in one or more industrial and production sectors to one of the qualification levels.
